That’s what the owners of the 190 Brodhead Professional Building did. This 50,000-square-foot office building in Lehigh Valley Industrial Park (LVIP) IV needed to refresh its dated 1980s look, according to owner Susan Yee. However the work had to be done while Yee’s web development business – Active Design – and other clients, such as a Wells Fargo Bank, medical offices and investment firms remained opened and accessible for employees and clients.
And she wanted it done in eight weeks.
Working with our proprietary phased-construction program, we got to work by scheduling the bulk of the renovations for nights and weekends when normal business traffic would be minimized. We coordinated our schedule with other contractors conducting site work and roof replacement, and we retrofitted all of the common spaces, including entryways, corridors, elevators and gathering spots with an up-to-date, 21st Century appeal.
The result is a crisp, stylish feel that not only looks good but provides a morale boost to everyone who works in the building.
